SPOKANE SUMMER SERIES: PADDLING THE LITTLE SPOKANE RIVER

Watch our Paddle Down the Little Spokane River

As a real estate agent, it’s hard to get away during the summer months. And let’s be honest! You really don’t need to when the Inland Northwest has such amazing summers!

But we are intentional to get out once a week on the Little Spokane River - usually a mid week afternoon break for us. Perfect outdoor reset for us during our busy summer months.  See our Instagram Reel of our latest trip down the river!

We get asked often “how” to do it! So here are the details!

Before you start: Life jacket and whistle for each person, and a Discovery pass is needed. 2 vehicles needed. Approved flotation devices only (kayak, paddleboard, canoe, NO tubes)

Bring: Sunscreen, hats, food and water! And a water protected phone case so you can get photos (we have seen much wildlife including moose)!

Starting location: St George’s Put In (Map).

Ending Location: Either Painted Rock Trailhead (Map) or the Spokane House (Map).  (recommend if it’s your first float walking to end of trail at Painted Rock to see where you will need to exit the water. It’s right after the second bridge you go under.)

To Begin: You will need to drop off paddleboards at the first location, then drop off a vehicle at second location, before returning to first location.

Duration: 1.5-2 hours for the shorter distance. Nearly 2.5-3 for the longer distance.

Let us know if you try out this summer activity. And for more local activities, give us a follow on Instagram or a Subscribe on Youtube.
